URL's are not enough

[ #25818 ]

On mailing lists, IM systems, foruns, blogs, journals, muds, everywhere!!

People insist on sharing a URL with everybody else just because they liked it.

How about saying what it is all about too, for a change?

Every day I receive tons of URL's, from tons of different sources, on tons of different subjects.

Most of them are useless and just steal time away from me, which is why I usually don't bother following them unless I know what they're all about.

Most people, unfortunately, feel that everybody else has all the spare time in the world, which means they can see all those pages, and apparently think they don't have any spare time, which ends up with them not even bothering writing down what the URL is all about when they send it.

Come to think of it... they probably don't have the time...

Because they spend it all sending emails with URL's!!!!!
