      But I can see how someone wouldn't notice that -- kind of like how you might not notice the arrow in the FedEx logo but thereafter you can't see anything but that.

  If I had seen it before you put that picture into my head, I would have seen the pagoda with the rising sun behind it as was intended.

  To be pedantic, I think it is ambiguous whether the red behind belongs to a man or woman, and where exactly the golden phallus is going.
  
  But in any case, yes, amusingly poor choice of logo.
