What I notice is that those AMBS' modules keep getting updated and deleted every time I update my local mini CPAN...

  • I'm not sure what's causing this, but let me give you stock advice: delete his directory and run minicpan with the -f switch. This advice is like "reboot and try again." It solves more than half the problems I hear about, but it doesn't explain what happened. If you find any information about the cause, I'm eager to have it, so things can be corrected.

    (Of course, usually this fixes problems related to failure to update indexed, and it seems like your mirror /is/ updating the critical 02packages index.)

    • I think the cause might have something to do with the fact that I lost connection the first time I created this mirror... CPAN::Mini started skipping modules (outputting some 500 error code) and then resumed normal behaviour after I regainned access.

      Not sure, but that might be it... :-|
