Conferences this year

[ #22800 ]
I was trying to put up a list of interesting conferences this year.

So... what am I missing?

  • I would say: all the Perl Workshops that are not held in English... European Perl Workshops [yapceurope.org]

  • I don't know whether LinuxWorldExpo [linuxworldexpo.com] (Boston Feb 14-17, NY NY May 25-26 and San Francisco Aug 8-11) counts as interesting; IDG World Expo shows sometimes are and sometimes aren't interesting. I'd like to hear if people think it's interesting, in fact, since one will be quite near me. Boston keynote by president of Novell could be amusing; has usual collection of tracks, BOFs, tutorials, and exhibits. It's not Perl per se, but it's FOSS that includes Perl.

  • Granada. Don't know dates. I hope they are after YAPC::EU, so we can fly there. I count with you, again!
  • You're missing this year's Israeli Perl Conference (third in a row, there were also conferences in 2003 and 2004):
    http://www.perl.org.il/YAPC/2005/ [perl.org.il]

Of course, it is probably only interesting to people who will be in Israel at the date of the conference (February 17th, 2005), but at least there will be almost an entire track of lectures in English, so you don't have to know Hebrew to come (here's the schedule [perl.org.il]).
