The Professional

Among other things, this weekend I managed to see Leon: The Professional (by Luc Besson, with Jean Reno, 1994, IMDB top 250 -> #64).

Come to think of it, I'm a bit like him... I get to my working space, get the pieces of my gun together (which happens to be a laptop), and then I strike furiously (!) at the keys.

I kill processes without emotion, which disappear without trace. :)

Man... why don't I get paid like he does?

On a side note, I've also started (finally) reading "Learning Perl Objects, References and Modules". Three chapters so far... nice reading :)

    Having watched the movie you really shouldn't want to get paid like he does :-)
  • Demand that your employers furnish you with plenty of milk, and bring your laptop to work in a cello case. Pretty soon, they'll be weirded out enough to pay you more. Or fire you.
