This approach may be backwards. Instead of embedding Parrot, I'm extending it. Of course, my deadline for this research is this Saturday [indiegamescon.com], and the extension API doesn't seem to be done (or documented), so this is what you get.
Of course, nothing precludes the hybrid approach.
