Tee hee. chicks 2003-07-26T17:00:47+00:00 journal Modules placed in CPAN that fail their own test suites One of the most frustrating things that casual perl "users" run into is that modules won't smoothly install via Recently a <a href=";mode=nested&amp;tid=6">thread</a> started on <a href="">slashcode</a> where somebody was running into this sort of thing. I'm not trying to be just another whining user. I'm concerned about the effect this sort of thing has on the image of perl. Amusingly, ActiveState has made this whole process considerably smoother for the modules they've made available through their own module system. So, this is mostly a *nix issue.
