I've been interested in notions like this from the first time I saw a reference to Eliza in a psych textbook.

Certainly, people say that a computer cannot be programmed to do effective therapy; however, the experience I've had with therapists indicates that humans can't be programmed for it either.

Good lord, I miss the Monastery. Poor Vroom.

I wonder if I could get some vote credits for the day I couldn't log in? ;)
