JAPH. (That's right -- I'm not Really Inexperienced any more.)

I'm not just here, I'm here [perlmonks.org], and here [javajunkies.org] too, I ramble randomly in my philosophical blog [blogspot.com] and my other blog [blogspot.com]. Soon I'll come in a convenient six-pack.

Only US$97 To Go

[ #1878 ]
Sold _Nutshell_ and _Cookbook_ together for US$40.00, to a friend of mine, one Eric Rand. (I got some Linux advice from him a little while back about leveraging my old 486 into something useful.) Seems he was looking for the two books because he's building a translator for something or other; I didn't catch specifics, but I'm always curious, so I'll probably drag it out of him sooner or later.

I must remember to send him to the monastery and here, too.

The transaction is scheduled for tomorrow, so that gives me and the SOTF a little more breathing room. Good deal.

I just started looking through the *rest* of _Nutshell_ (my slightly-worn copy): Wow! I didn't realize there was *so* much to the book. Many afternoons must be spent somewhere thoroughly thrashing every last word through my mind.

Once I give Nutshell a full-on going-over, I'll know more precisely what I should try to learn first.
