I'm back

[ #18323 ]

I am only a couple of days from getting all the way home to Chicago, but I am rotting away in a crappy hotel room in Rhode Island as the Army figures out what it is doing.

I have high-speed wireless access, so I can update my minicpan, CVS working copies, and all sorts of other things, including a lot of old versions that clutter my CPAN directory (especially when the new versions are cluttering someone else's directory).

Now I just have to sort things out. The big thing on my mind is The Perl Review, and if I can get a print version to show up before OSCON. I think I can do that if I can line up the printer quickly, which I think will be the bottleneck.

  • And if you could get one out before YAPC::NA, that would be even sweeter!

    Glad you're back,
    xoxo,

    • I don't think there is much chance of me getting something done before YAPC unless I go with previously published articles. I have thought of doing that as a way to try out the printing process for the first time, but I also do not know if it is worth it to use that money for articles people have already seen.
  • Welcome back!

There are far worse places to be than Rhode Island, even if it isn't Chicago. Try to stay above the flood waters though.
