Russian names

I don't really know why, but there are some female russian (given) names that I find to be quite charming: Ludmilla, Irina, Svetlana. So just to let you know! Shall I ever have a daughter, I would seriously consider giving her one of them, mother permitting...

  • My girlfriend is called Marouschka, which is russian for Maria (so I was told). She's not russian though (long story) but I like it anyhow.

      I'm not really sure. I think it may be the affective form. For example my name in Russian would be Michail, but a friend would call me Misha. I have a Russian friend, I should ask him...
