Ruby vs. Python (vs. Java and even vs. some Perl)

[ #27893 ]

... for MVC frameworks.

I found a link to this blog entry on Jeremy Zawodny's Linkblog (highly recommended if you prefer other people to compile today's web highlights for you): Ruby Book Sales Surpass Python.

It's an interesting read, in particular the intelligent and relevant comments, if you prefer to just read about what people like about these languages, instead of having to try them all out by yourself.

As an aside, I wish there were equally intelligent discussions on comparing the various distros of Linux vs. the *BSD's. Because, if anybody ever asks about those, the typical answer they always get is "Try them out for yourself and make up your own mind". Argh! I don't have time for this.
