Farewell, pop picker

[ #31739 ]

Alan "Fluff" Freeman RIP.

In more recent times he's been the inspiration behind Harry Enfield and Paul Whitehouse's comic characters Smashy & Nicey. In my formative years, Alan helped to introduce me to some of the great sounds during the 70s. With Tommy Vance on a Friday night, and Alan on a Saturday afternoon they were probably my most listened to radio shows. He even got my mum listening to Genesis (Peter Gabriel version) and Deep Purple!
