Wyld Stallions of Linux (they wish) on tour!

[ #29211 ]

Jono Bacon and Ted Haeger have teamed up to do a short UK LUG Tour.

Here at MessageLabs, several development and operations staff are members of the Gloucestershire LUG, however, many of us have yet to venture out to a meeting. They do have meetings, but they're most often in the wilds of Bishops Cleeve. There has been some rumblings on the list for a while about finding a more suitable venue, so one of the ML development staff decided to investigate using ML's facilities. Thankfully we've got the okay to use them.

Quite fortuitously, Jono told me about the tour he and Ted were planning and, rather like Birmingham.pm's World Tour of UK Perl Monger groups, they'll be visiting several UK LUGs. We've still to determine which talks they'll be doing, but if you happen to be in the area (J11a of the M5), feel free to come along.

Event: Gloucestershire LUG Technical Meeting - Jono & Ted's UK LUG Tour
Date: Friday 21st April 2006
Times: doors open from 6pm, talks from 7pm-9pm
Venue: MessageLabs, Centre of Excellence, Lansdowne Court, Gloucester Business Park, Gloucester, GL3 4AB.

There is the Whittle Inn nearby, where we can adjorn to afterwards for a debrief. Should be an interesting night.
