A Night of Image Processing
Wednesday 24th March, 2004
A Birmingham.pm Technical Meeting Presentation
Birmingham.pm will be holding a special Technical Meeting in March. We have a special guest speaker, Paul Whitehead from MessageLabs, together with our very own Jon Brookes presenting two very different talks about image processing.
Paul's talk will cover general image processing and how it has been used in industry and more specifically, how its used within the Anti-Porn service provided by MessageLabs.
Jon will be talking about his new module (CGI::Application::EasyGraph) that is a plugin to the CGI::Application framework, to enable simple graph plotting for websites.
If you are interested in either of these techniques, or want to see a little more of what ImageMagick and GD can do, this will be a meeting not to miss.
The venue will be the offices of QPC on Bradford Street. Après meeting debrief at The Old Fox on Hurst Street. See our next meeting page for further details on how to get there.
As always attendance is free. I hope to see you there.
Barbie.
