I'm going on a Perl Whirl in October. I submitted the idea to go, when our resources manager asked if anyone wanted to go to any conferences this year, as they were in the process of sorting out the training budget. I mentioned YAPC::Europe, but as that'll cost a minimal amount, I'm happy to pay for that myself (as long as I get training days off).
Some of the places we'll be travelling to look fantastic, and the company (especially Dave, Piers and Marty) should be thoroughly entertaining. I'm intrigued as to whether Marty will find a Sushi restaurant on the trip
Mmm... sushi (Score:1)
Now, if I can just get my finger out and get the work done for the tutorial I'm giving then I can start selling it as a training course and hopefully get it bedded in before the cruise.
