Network card joy

[ #13762 ]
A big up, for RichardC last week, who helped me get my laptop talking to a network. It turns out that the yenta_socket is a recent invention and not applicable to the Toshiba brick. i82365 however, is applicable. Even managed to get wireless access for Friday afternoon of YAPC. At least I can now know I can go and buy a wireless card ready for next year's YAPC :)

I now have a 20Gb laptop hard drive winging its way towards me, so I only really need some more RAM and I'll have a reasonable setup. At least I hope so, after I've reinstalled RedHat without having to cut corners.

I discovered a few people still have Toshiba bricks while at the conference. Didn't feel so lost in a sea of iBooks :)
