Mozilla Firebird

[ #13347 ]
Thanks to TorgoX's latest journal entry I am now the proud possession of the latest version of Mozilla Firebird. It's groovy. Shame that it doesn't come with the look and feel for Windows that it shows on the main page, although I'm guessing this is either the Linux or Mac version.

  • The Gecko Rendering Engine is really good. Mozilla (and variants) and Mozilla Firebird also offer a much better user interface, that using IE6 is now painful. No tabs; no image-blocking; no pop-up blocking; lousy XHTML/CSS support - IE is so primitive. Opera is pretty good too - in a different way, but how come a company the size of MS, with the cash pile that they have, can't produce a decent browser...?
