Day 30: Interview!

[ #23456 ]
Today chromatic went on #perl6 and did a lengthy interview for; there's been many interesting exchanges.

Ingy has started working with abandon on the ext/ system of Pugs, starting with his "Kwid" extension. It will hopefully culminate to something sane and happy for Perl 6 library users. :)

nnunley has converted Pretty.hs to use Text.PrettyPrint; we have also discussed the possibility for the Eval monad to derive its own Freeze/Thaw methods, to make serializable continuations more easily implementable, along with interesting applications like a backstepping debugger.

I have checked in the readline (also known as unary =) primitive, as well as open() calls that can write/append files.

Our new committer, clsung (the tireless FreeBSD committer for p5-* ports), has started hacking away at the tests. ycheng also implemented "chmod".

There is no doubt other developments I did not cover, but it's getting late, so see you tomorrow. :-)
