Damn, I wanted to go to TPC this year but none of my talks were accepted and my financial position this year hasn't been so great.

OTOH, I do go to Taiwan for 5 weeks of unbelievably intense heat and humidity in 12 days, so that's something to look forward to. Actually, despite the heat, I am looking forward to it quite a bit. I need a break.

  • Seeing as Minneapolis Perl Mongers haven't done anything for quite a while it might be time for a we're-not-at-TPC wednesday gathering at some place for a beer/non-alcoholic-drink?
  • No unbelievably intense heat in SD, but the hotel is thoroughly refrigerated, which is bad for those of us in the standard geek T-shirt.
