DDR Night at YAPC?

Yeehaw, St. Louis has 3 DDR machines (according to DDR Freak). One of the locations (a movie theater) is about 20 minutes away according to Mapblast.

I think a bunch of Perl geeks playing DDR would be, um, interesting, but no doubt highly entertaining.

  • When I was in Sydney,OZ I noticed a proliferation of these machines and the facination of asian visitors with them. Then I noticed the real secret, white people can't dance, and whoever came up with the idea of getting people to pay to look stupid in public is a genius.
    • But it's fun!

      And you only can't dance cause you don't practice. At first it's really weird but with a little practice you'll get better.

      But yeah, I mostly want to see people making fools of themselves in public. Of course, that happens at many of the social events attached to conferences anyway, so really it isn't much different from anything in the past ;)
    • Well, I know one thing I *won't* be doing in St. Louis ...
