All these are events I've organized or initiated.

Count them: there are seven. And 7th version of Perl should be final version of the language. Should Perl Mova be the last Perl event I organize?

  • If you like organizing stuff *and* you get help from people you can rely on, then why not continue? Organizing non-profit Perl events on your own time without having support or enjoyment isn't worth doing at all, IMO. But that's me.

    There are of course the "bigger picture" arguments (Perl publicity, community growth, giving people opportunities to learn, etc.) If you can live on those alone, good for you. Just don't rely on staying motivated for too long without the "big two" (reliable help, and personal enj
