The first, Recent Advances in Example-Based Machine Translation is the state-of-the-art book on my PhD topic. It should worth the money. But, 180 euros for this book? Good I know amazon and, the same book costs 160 euros. Also, good that I don't mind to have a paperback book. Thus, it costs 50 euros. I can't imagine why this cost difference.
The second, CKJV Information Processing. This is an O'Reilly book. Same cost: 50 euros for paperback. Why I need this book? Well, we have to give classes to an "Oriental Studies" course. It might help us with encodings and such stuff.
Conclusion: books are very expensive
