So far, not properly a tutorial...

[ #16366 ]

Some posts bellow I was pointing to a tutorial about Perl. Meanwhile, something else is required.

At our university, we organize a kind of conference for students. Last year (JOIN'03) we had Leon Brocard talking about parrot, Tristan Nitot talking about Mozilla, Simon Peyton Jones talking about Haskell and a lot of other not well known (and mostly Portuguese) speakers.

This year, we are back. JOIN'04 are being organized, and one session about Scripting Languages is almost prepared. We will have four different talks, about four different scripting languages: TCL, Perl, Python and Ruby.

And these, are the speakers:

  • TCL: José Paulo Leal
  • Python: Johan Dahlin
  • Perl: Martin Pauley
  • Ruby: Simon Cozens

We hope we can get some more speakers. For example we would like to have Google participating... specially if they pay their speaker trip :-P. This is becaming expensive.
