Google are great! I love those guys! They've recently opened up a SOAP API into their service, which is great. I didn't really see it coming, but in retrospect all the signs were there. Expect lots of new Google stats popping up everywhere and expect the bots to rule the earth!

I've played around and have coded a version of WWW::Search::Google that uses the SOAP API. It's wonderfully small and cute and just works. You'll need a Google API license key to use it, though. I've asked Google's permission to distribute it on the CPAN. Let's see what they say when they wake up...
