Leon Brocard (aka acme) is an orange-loving Perl eurohacker with many varied contributions to the Perl community, including the GraphViz module on the CPAN. YAPC::Europe was all his fault. He is still looking for a Perl Monger group he can start which begins with the letter 'D'.

London.pm visits YAPC::Europe 2008

Dear me, I appear to have become London.pm travel czar.

For YAPC::Europe I recommend staying at: CAB INN Scandinavia. The rooms are very small and it's a few stops from the venue. But it's very practically CHEAP and closer to the center of town so you can spend more on Carlsberg and smørrebrød.

We can fly using SAS:

12 Aug 2008 LHR 20:10 -> CPH SK1508
17 Aug 2008 CPH 18.15 -> LHR SK1507

It's quite far ahead, but at least you have some plans now ;-)

  • The depth of despair that is Heathrow? Surely you jest? In the misery that is August? I'd much prefer the 15 minute check-in before departure at London City.

    • Don't get me wrong, I hate Heathrow and I honestly think it's the one single thing dragging the UK back to the dark ages. It's just that other airports are not practical for most people and 14 hours is quite a long time in a train...
