S3 reliability

Until Amazon sorts out its support, I wouldn't use Amazon S3 for anything live and mission-critical. Yesterday, "some of our customers experienced 503 errors for a brief period of time". People posted problem reports on the forum, but the first response from Amazon is a good nine hours after the first report. Here's a tip for all you utility computing providers: respond to customers.
