Leon Brocard (aka acme) is an orange-loving Perl eurohacker with many varied contributions to the Perl community, including the GraphViz module on the CPAN. YAPC::Europe was all his fault. He is still looking for a Perl Monger group he can start which begins with the letter 'D'.

JSON

[ #26909 ]

12:29 <@pfig> yay, another data structure serialization method!

In an entry for the BBC Backstage competition I happen to use JSON as a data structure serialization method. Anil picks JSON as one on his web development trends for 2006. From my point of view, I've been bitten so many times by bugs in the YAML module and I wanted something that was simple, fast and portable. JSON and the JSON module solve all those for me.
