Interference
I have two external FireWire drives on my desk. This is great as I backup to both of them (in mirror mode). What is amusing, is that the disks don't rotate at exactly the same speed. Thus, there's interference between the two drives and my desk vibrates every couple of seconds. If only they could be in sync!
Sadly my Powerbook harddrive has died. Happily it is now being repaired a at the new Apple Store in London. It's a nice store and we've always had problems finding the right Apple gear or for repairs, so it's a welcome addition. The shop's pretty nice (much like the NYC Soho store) and I didn't even get annoyed when they called me Lion Bracard...
