Leon Brocard (aka acme) is an orange-loving Perl eurohacker with many varied contributions to the Perl community, including the GraphViz module on the CPAN. YAPC::Europe was all his fault. He is still looking for a Perl Monger group he can start which begins with the letter 'D'.

[ #16020 ]
Following in the steps of many important people, I am now a Perl pumpkin (for 5.5.4). So much for my free time ;-)

  • What numbers are you planning to use for the development versions, given that 5.5.3 has already been used.

And who's going to be pumpking for 5.4.5? Or (checks perlhist) 5.3.29? (This is not me volunteering!)
    • I plan to release a 5.5.4-RC1 and 5.5.4, that is all. I haven't actually decided whether to call it 5.005_004 or 5.5.4. I suspect the former to keep things the same.
      • 5.005_04, no? (aka 5.5.40 -- there never was a 5.5.3.)

      • Please PLEASE do not call it 5.5.4. That would be too confusing.
  • Though I tried to buy pumpking soup for lunch, when I got it back to the office it was pea and ham. I didn't notice it wasn't orange due to the partial colourblindness thing, and I was left for a few minutes wondering why it tasted so funny.

I hope your pumpkiness turns out to be just as orange as you expect.
