I am livid. Would you pay $50 (USD) a year to be able to attend your local Perl Mongers meeting? Oh, and did I mention that the $50 goes to another organization? I can't wait to talk about this.

Lots of groups have been "started" or "registered" over the years, and fail to have a first meeting or otherwise fail to be active. I don't see why this should be causing a problem.
