Dear Log,

SSRIs do such interesting things to (and it) one's sleep! I woke up this morning announcing annoyedly (as part of a dream, but mananging to actually say this aloud back in objective reality, much to my surprise) "I am not a Cocker Spaniel". The weird part is that I've forgetten the dream now.

  • On one of my many attempts to quit smoking, I tried the Patch (TM). There is a warning on this product not to wear it while sleeping as it may cause strange dreams. Well, one night I forgot to take off the patch and I had a dream about a town living in fear of a mass murdered killing off the children. It seems the couldn't manage to hunt down the wily culprit: a turkey.

To this day I wonder if it was just the patch or if there was something deeply symbolic that I just missed.

    • "I am not a Cocker Spaniel". The weird part is that I've forgetten the dream now.

The reason you can't remember the "dream" is that you actually are a Cocker Spaniel who has fallen asleep and are now dreaming you are a human.

Nobody ever really remembers their waking life in their dreams, even Cocker Spaniels.

    Woof!

  • I am not a Cocker Spanniel! I am a free man!

Well, someone had to say it.
