"What the hell were these people thinking?"

[ #7450 ]
Dear Log,

«"One hundred years from now they're going to look back and say 'what the hell were these people thinking?' but we've got to live through it all." »

--"'No one wants to say this law is wrong': 20 years for man who grew pot for his sick brother"

I'm fond of often asking "What the hell are these people thinking?". Is that bad form, and should I wait until all of the people in question are dead? Do I have to wait for all their friends and children to be dead, too? Maybe I should just stick to complaining about the Inquisition.
