Cooked up some patches to LWP for Gisle. Mostly bugfixes, but also some things to implement the:content_file,:content_cb, and:read_size_hint options on $browser->get(...) / $browser->post(...) methods, as described in the book.
Got my authorial box of comp copies of the book in the mail. WHUMP.
Sat on the porch and read the Onion. Too much sweltering, so back inside.
Watched a lot of TV. HAIL TIVO!
Made a zesty summer salad.
Consumed a new breed of kiwifruit: they're gold (not green) on the inside, only slightly fuzzy outside, and they taste sort of like a great big sweet grape.
Had crazy crazy thoughts that I should soon resume poking at my new pod-parser, to replace Pod::Parser and its ilk. That was all meant to be done months and months ago (on the tails of the Edict of Perlpodspec), but I had to put it (and many many other things) on hold so I could get the book done.
Also had a few crazy thoughts about redoing perldoc (i.e., implementing perlman as described in the current edition of Programming Perl.)
Felt unproductive for being unable to do it all in a night.
Argued with the cat. Not only does he have what we in the ling biz call "turn-taking", but he always insists on having the last word. "Si'ilh?" "What do you want?" "GHHHHH." "What?" "Liwt!" "You're staring at me all panic-stricken. I don't know how to process that." "HooeeeeeeaaaaAAAaaaakkkkkhhnnnhhhh." "That's crazy talk." "Mif."
Just now, some sage words:
<Torgo> purl, advice?
<purl> TorgoX: Slow preparation, fast execution
