I was fretting the other day about how I never know how to get a Euro symbol, and can never rely on a given font having that character. So I made a font just for it: http://www.speech.cs.cmu.edu/~sburke/pub/euro_character_ttf.zip the euro symbol is on the E, e, $, and a few other likely places. Everything else is undefined, which is why it's such a small TTF file.
I also exported an EPS of the character: http://www.speech.cs.cmu.edu/~sburke/pub/euro_character_eps.zip
Falks might find those handy to have around, and/or to pass around. It beats bitmaps!
I'm just getting the hang of Fontographer, for doing even rudimentary things like this. It's not a pleasant program. I'm using an ages-old version, but I suspect that the newer versions aren't much better.
