GOAST

[ #5855 ]
Dear Log,

I'm told that my book has been dubbed "the goat book". What's that in Dutch -- "de bokboek"?

  • I preordered way way back. They say it is scheduled to be published June 15th. What is the normal lead time between published date and it arriving at the Book Sellers?

Any idea when the Goat Book will be winding its way down the mountain paths and into my library?

    • It should be shipping probably this coming week.
      • Why didn't anyone tell me that it's available on Safari!?

I've been a Safari subscriber for awhile now. I always thought that the brand new stuff wasn't there. Guess I was wrong!

I subscribed right away. First take... Looks good, real good.

Won't really know how good it is until I start developing my an application suite that I have in mind. Tentative start for that will be July/August time frame.

But, I have a feeling that this will provide a big leg up.

  • BTW, I'm told that the Dutch name for my book would be "het bokkenboek". I wonder what it is in Afrikaans, the language that gave us the specific name for cover animals, the blesboks. I do know that Afrikaans [skynet.be] ditched "de"/"het" in favor of "die" as the definite articles.
