"Il est beau comme la retractilité des serres des oiseaux rapaces [...] et surtout, comme la rencontre fortuite sur une table de dissection d'une machine à coudre et d'un parapluie !" -- Lautréamont

The Worfian Hypothesis

[ #4191 ]
Dear Log,

The fun never stops!

What surprises me with the Klingon list is not or much that it's a gallery of hate and a willful /lack/ of creativity, but that when the people complain, they do it with such longwinded whining. Their diva fits are shameful for a warrior!

It's like a crash-course lesson in what I would have learned if I'd spent serious time on p5p: Some people's opinions do not count, and the louder they shout "STOP! MY WAY IS THE ONLY WAY!", the less they count, until their only conceivable use is as cat food.

It's an often aggravating and stressful situation, but the alternative is to try nothing lest anyone complain, at which point the naysayers will have won before you've even started.

But it does make me sympathize with Quentin Crisp's old saying: "Other people are a mistake".

Maybe I just need a massage.
