Esther Dyson Overdrive

[ #3865 ]
Dear Log,

« "I'm enthusiastic about ZEDO because it uses 'buzzword technology' -- decentralization and Third Generation edgeServing(TM) -- to deliver real-world benefits such as low cost, reliability and scalability," said Esther Dyson. »

Have I ever mentioned that I have a deep and abiding hate for Esther Dyson?

  • I think anyone who tries to sneak buzzwords into sentances (without an ironic intent) should be placed against the nearest wall and shot. Stoning is acceptable if there is no handy rifle at hand.
  • I don't read her often, for obvious reasons, but she is actually saying that it is a virtue simply to support buzzwords? That seems like a new low.
