Netscape Now! 1.2b por vida!

[ #28053 ]
Dear Log,

«...Ajax, which I can still only just bear to use without scare quotes. Basically, what "Ajax" means is "Javascript now works."»

And I'll point out that JavaScript works now with no thanks to Microsoft or to old-timey Netscape Corporation, who both clusterfucked the language from day one.

(The Lovecraftian horror of a standard produced by ECMA didn't help things one bit, either; altho I think the blame lies with whatever dimwit decided to even involve anyone as feckless as ECMA.)

The usefulness that JavaScript now has, is because recent programmers beat some sense into the implementations of the language (notably Firefox), completely in spite of the first five years of inanity and learned helplessness that went into the language.

SEACREST OUT.
