    On a somewhat related topic, check out http://svn.exclupen.com/jsan/ [exclupen.com]. I got include() to work synchronously via XMLHttpRequest, so you can use included functions even before onload. Only downside is that browser security keeps XMLHttpRequest from connecting to other domain names, so you can't use any remote libraries.
