Dear Log,

I never noticed until now how much Ethiopic script looks, graphically, like first-millennium Greek. I'd seen Ethiopic script plenty over the years, but that similarity never occurred to me until I saw the bit on this page that points out how their numerals are from Greek / Coptic.
