Dear Log,

A nasty heatwave in apparently hitting Portland. I'm really really hoping it'll be gone by Monday night, when I fly in.

I'm already really wound up whenever I'm travelling, so adding heat on top of that just makes me kinda cranky and anxious and flushed and vertiginous.

Ahwell, if it's too hot out, I'll just sit around my friend Sam's apartment for a day or two, with the air conditioning on, and play with his cats, and read, and/or code.

Note to self: eat massive amounts of carbs and sugars and some sane amounts of water and vitamins. I'll try to cut down on caffeine, too; last thing I need in heat is a stimulant and diuretic.
