Dear Log,

I reprint here, in full, an article from today's Counterpunch cowboy round-up of articles about the forty-years-too-late death of Grandpa Caligula:

Ronald Reagan, 1911-2004
In a Nutshell

By SUSAN DAVIS

Any kid from Dixon, Illinois can make it..as long as they cultivate a relationship with the FBI, bust a union or two, rat out their Hollywood friends, and fire a few philsophers.

After that, it was a down hill coast for Ronnie.

But why did he call his wife "Mommy?"

Susan Davis teaches at the University of Illinois, Urbana-Champaign.

  • I've always loved Jello referring to Ronnie as "Grandpa Caligula." Did he start that, or does it predate Jello's use?
