Bad thing to see in your bathroom in your new house at 11:30 pm : water dripping from your light.

Not good, not good at all

Today we have no water as I have turned the supply off at the mains and emptied the water tank in the attic. Now I just need to wait til this evening when my father will give me a hand fitting a new ballcock and fixing the waste pipe (the waste pipe was totally detached from the tank so the overflow just dripped down through the ceiling)

New houses suck.

  • We had water overflow from the tub in the master bath upstairs and leak down through the kitchenette chandelier [purdy.info] downstairs.

    Good times.
  • Wednesday evening, my wife went downstairs to switch out a load of laundry and found a huge mound of bubbles had overtaken our laundry room. Seems the drain from the washer had gotten plugged, and most of the water (and soap, obviously) from a load of laundry was on the floor.

    Thank goodness for tile.
