Personally I find Data Matrix more interesting. It's used in more places (at least here in Europe, as far as I can tell) than QRCode. I don't particularly like the large finder patterns in QRCode, but then again, that's where the "QR" (quick response) in the name comes from.

It'd be nice if these modules supported Micro QR.

I'll also have to get my Data Matrix generating code onto CPAN at some point, so thanks for the indirect reminder.

I've never had a problem using a PPM version of WWW::Mechanize on ActivePerl, so I think it's a bit misleading to say that Windows users haven't been able to use a web scraping framework. I've been using WWW::Mechanize on ActivePerl for years.

ActivePerl is far from perfect, but in some cases, I find PPM actually works better than installing directly off CPAN.
