why me?
Well, the primary hard drive in my desktop seems to have started it's journey to the great land beyond. Of course I'm leaving for TPC in the morning. Sigh. I have a backup of 95% of my stuff, and probably 99% of the "important stuff". The big problem at the moment is, well, I'm stupid.
Instead of just buying a new hard drive, I also bought an Ultra ATA/133 controller card. And of course, it seems to have made my motherboard forget about the other two IDE ports in the system. And I don't have long enough cables to make everything work right and
So, we're doing a RH7.3 install on the new drive now, it should be done in 20 minutes or so, and then we'll go back to fiddling to see if we can get the other ports up. Otherwise we have to give up and go to email contingency plans, which do suck.
