Taunting Java Programmers

[ #19211 ]

Yes. I really did have this conversation with someone tonight. I've removed my side, because he wasn't listening to me anyway.

[20:07:37] <Java Programmer> i can't say waht #(()@__#*$* will compile to though. and that hurts my chances
[20:07:53] <Java Programmer> ack my brain hurts
[20:10:03] <Java Programmer> shit, it really does compile
[20:10:10] <Java Programmer> man, that's sick. really sick
[20:10:39] <Java Programmer> i hit random keys on my keyboard, and it's a valid perl program. gah

  • If Java supported one liners, the following program would compile there too:

// look Mom, no Camel Case! jjfpa9ou8Y*$#hoifg

I fail to see what that proves, though.

    • That java programmers will believe ANYTHING.
Or at least anything bad about perl.
Or at least that perl is line noise.
Well I suppose that one isn't too much of a stretch.

But honestly I think it's just a humorous comment on the popular perception of perl.
  • One has to wonder how "random" shifted characters are... can't even blame them on the caps lock key.
