  • Why should it be faked ? There were colour photographies during the XIXth century but IIRC taken by superposing different filtered images. The wikipedia has an article about the Autochrome Lumière [wikipedia.org]. I worked for years at a few hundred meters away from the location where the first movie was shot (now a museum) and I remember having already seen some of the photographs you linked to.
    • Lack of knowledge and plenty of scars from previous gullabilities led me to my cynicism.

      I was looking around for a wristwatch on those people... ;)

  • Also I found a largely identical set [network54.com] elsewhere on the web a while ago, but not all photos from one set are in the other so there'll be a few more which you haven't seen yet at that link.
