I was an early adopter of gravatars, and mine originally showed up on my CPAN author page. I'm not sure if something has changed, but is there a way to kick the the search.cpan.org gravatar cache to grab my new gravatar?
I expect that the gravatars are cached at search.cpan.org for maybe a day or so, so if you just wait for about 24 hours, it should update automatically.
I'm having a related problem that has not gone away with time. Originally my gravitar showed up (I too was an early adopter of the niftiness) but now nothing shows up. I'm faceless!
I emailed Schwern yesterday and consulted his wisdom. It turns out that the gravatar needs to be associated with your cpan.org email address, ala 'phred at cpan.org', or in your case 'wonko at cpan.org'. I logged into PAUSE, made the necessary changes to have my cpan address forward, and voila! Gravatar is back in action.
Just a little patience required... (Score:2)
That's what I read into the last answer in search.cpan.org's FAQ [cpan.org], too.
