Perl Mecca

Portland, Oregon, USA is slowly becoming a Perl Mecca. So far at our Perl Mongers Meetings, we've had presentations by the following people (in order of when the presented):

Randal Schwartz -- New features in Perl 6
Tom Phoenix -- Sorting, beginning to advanced
chromatic -- testing

The current schedule:

Allison Randal -- Topics and Topicalizers in Perl 6 (tomorrow)
Brian Ingerson -- Unknown topic, possibly Inline? (probably November)
Michael Schwern -- Refactoring (probably December)

So, why aren't you living here? :)

Update: Apparently, my last line read "are" instead of the intended "aren't". Not sure how I missed that, but it totally changed the tone of this :(

It was, more or less, intended to be a somewhat jestful way of saying that Portland is a great place to live.
